| Description | 690 MARKET STREET - the Chronicle Building is located at the northeast intersection of Market, Geary and Kearny Streets, Lot 6 in Assessor’s Block 311 - Consideration of adoption of a resolution recommending to the Board of Supervisors approvalof a Mills Act historical property contract for the subject property which is proposed for designation as Category II (Significant) per Article 11 of the Planning Code. The Mills Act authorizes local governments to enter into contracts with owners of private historical property who, through the historical property contract, assure the rehabilitation, restoration, preservation and maintenance of a qualified historical property. In return, the property owner enjoys a reduction in property taxes for a given period. The property is within a C-3-O (Downtown Office) District and a 285-S Height and Bulk District. |
