Description THE VISITACION VALLEY REDEVELOPMENT PLAN - Consideration of adoption of General Plan, Planning Code and Zoning Map amendments, and other actions related to the Visitacion Valley Redevelopment Plan, including approval of a Design for Development document. The Redevelopment Plan area has the following general boundaries: Tunnel Avenue to the east; the San Francisco/San Mateo County line to the south; to the west generally by lots fronting the west side of Bayshore Boulevard between Sunnydale Avenue on the south and Blanken to the north and lots fronting the both sides of Leland Avenue, between Bayshore Boulevard and Cora Street to the west. The Visitacion Valley Redevelopment Plan calls for redevelopment of the long-vacant Schlage Lock site into the larger Visitacion Valley neighborhood, creating a transit-oriented mixed use development with new residential units, including affordable units, a mid-sized grocery store, and other neighborhood commercial ground floor retail on the Schlage site. It also includes a number of public improvements, including new neighborhood parks, the extension of the Visitacion Valley street grid throughout the Schlage Lock property, and pedestrian improvements to the circulation network including improvements to Bayshore Blvd. Intersections. The project requires several actions by the Planning Commission, the Redevelopment Commission and the Board of Supervisors.
