    Pigeons expire with a fair amount of regularity in the Bay Area, but this bird happened to have met its fate off the second-story ledge of a financial-services building, from where its body is dangling in the air by what looks like a wire. The building is located between Market and Mission streets, where thousands of people pass daily on their way to and from jobs in the Financial District.

  • Mission Bay Eastern Neighborhoods Plan on the Fast Track

    The SF Examiner also noted that emerging Mission Bay business and biotechnology research-hub ventures are the focus of a new long-term plan that includes more high-rises. It is not clear how high buildings will rise. But the SF Examiner reported that the Planning Dept. is seeking a separate plan for Fourth Street to allow for a landmark tower, reaching 1,000 feet.
