San Francisco police say they have been arresting young illegal immigrants from Honduras for several years after catching them selling crack cocaine and other drugs in the Mission and Tenderloin. Until May, the city was quietly sending the offenders back home to Honduras rather than turning them over to federal authorities for possible deportation.

While the fuzz protects the gays and their wallets during Pride season, SF ticked another notch on its murder board. A neighborhood car mechanic, William Amrull, 50, was found shot to death near his Bernel Heights home, on the sidewalk near Holly Park Circle and Newman Street. Officers found Amrull dead of a gunshot wound on the sidewalk shortly before 3 a.m. in the area of Holly Park Circle and Newman Street, police said. No arrests have been made in the case.
