McKay was riding his bike home near Cabrillo and 15th Avenue when he was shot and killed early on September 17th. McKay staggered to several neighborhood doors calling for help before he collapsed and died in a doorway.

An unidentified 38-year-old man died a little before 3:30 a.m. this morning after crashing his motorcycle on Interstate 80. It seems he hit a wall while driving. And, according to the Examiner, "after striking the concrete wall, the man was thrown off his bike and into a fence about 70 feet to 80 feet below on Brannan Street," No other cars, it seems, were involved in the crash.
