Glen Park to Kamala Harris: RSVP
At least RSVP if you're not going to do your job start prosecuting criminals! At last night's Glen Park Community Meeting, impressively attended by 500 residents (You go, GP!), all invited officials showed up to speak to and/or show their support for the recently crime-inundated neighborhood - all except for Kamala Harris. Disappointingly, the San Francisco District Attorney didn't even send a representative to the meeting.

Glen Park at tipping point on violent crime
Certainly she is deeply gratified that so many of her Glen Park neighbors are stopping by her store, Buddies Market, to ask about her husband, Paul. Friday night, at closing time, he was beaten, tied up, stabbed and robbed. He's better, Jennie says, but she can't shake the fact that one of the knife blows nicked his liver and her 53-year-old husband nearly bled to death on the store floor.

Noe Valley
wow — this one was a complete wreck, on a busy street, sans views
This property was so run down that there was yellow tape everywhere. Visitors literally couldn’t walk in more than one area due to the fact that they would fall into the sub-basement, or worse. Yet it sold for 25K over asking, for $1.02M. On the one hand it’s understandable. It’s Noe Valley and a large lot. On the other hand, it is not. It’s mid-summer 2008 and this isn’t supposed to be happening, especially on previously less desirable streets such as Clipper. Your thoughts?
