Her father and fiancé followed along in a car as Gustafson motored through the race, which started at 5:30 a.m. near the Ferry Building. The course ran along the Embarcadero west to the Golden Gate Bridge and then back through the Richmond District to Golden Gate Park, and back to the Ferry Building.

She's a physical therapist and he's an engineer, and together they make between $100,000 and $150,000 a year.
