About crimes
In this section of EveryBlock, you can find out about criminal activity near you, from robberies to homicides to prostitution.
The information comes from the San Francisco Police Department. For each incident, you'll find the date/time police believe it occurred, the type of offense and the resolution (e.g., whether an arrest occurred). We also provide the incident ID, in case you're interested in doing further research on a particular incident.
These reports are "verified" by the police department, in contrast to our police calls, which are published based purely on telephone calls to the police.
